PROJECTS DURING CONSULTANCY

Consultancy services have been provided to different agencies in respective projects in renewable energies. The renewable energy projects executed, on-going and pipeline are detailed below:

Small / Micro Hydro Projects:

  1. Rendered consultancy services for planning, design, feasibility studies and supervision for construction and commissioning of 1.6 MW Small Hydro Power Plant at Khanpur Dam, started from January 2011.
  2. Rendered consultancy services for planning, design, feasibility studies and supervision for construction and commissioning of 100 kW Micro Hydro Power Plant in Mardan, March 2009 – June 2010.
  3. Rendered consultancy services for planning, design, feasibility studies and supervision for construction and commissioning of 350 kW Micro Hydro Power Project in Khanpur Dam Canal June 2010, for Bismillah Power; design and installation of cross flow turbine ( 100 kW) and PAT (Pump as Turbine) (200 kW & 50 kW), from June 2009 to till date

Biomass / Biogas Projects:

  1. Design and construction of 250 m3 Biogas digester plant at Simly Cattle Farm, Islamabad, for generation of electricity, May 2012 – till to date.
  2. Prepared seven (07) Pre-Feasibility Studies on Biogas Plants for seven cattle farms under “Methane to Market: A project of EPA, USA, Capacity Building of Dairy Farms in Pakistan”, July – Oct 2011.
  3. Supervised post graduate and undergraduate student  projects of Bahria University, Islamabad and NUST University, Islamabad on:Developed four models of Improved Cooking Stoves; two for cold-hilly areas and two for plain areas under SAARC Energy Center project.
  4. Anaerobic fermentation of organic (fruits and vegetables) wastes for the production of biogas under mesophilic and thermophilic conditions (for  both NUST and Bahria University);
  5. Composting techniques for fruits and vegetables for enhancement of composting process (NUST).
  6. Designed and installed 150 m3 Biogas digester plant in Dhok Gojran, Rawalpindi for meeting cooking needs of 400 persons, January – March 2011
  7. Worked as Biomass Energy Expert for Windrock on “Promoting Sustainable Energy Production and Use from Biomass in Pakistan”, August – December 2010, a project initiated by UNIDO.
  8. Rendered consultancy services to Elan Partners for a European Union “Project Baseline Survey on Renewable Energy Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan”, August 2010, Contributed in Biogas component of project.
  9. Design and Manufacturing of pre-fab Biogas Digestors for Cold Regions of the Country, June 2010, with financial assistance from Solar Tech
  10. Worked on feasibilty study, design and installation of biomass cogeneration power plant for KDC Ply Wood Factory, Jhelum.
  11. Working on feasibility study, design and installation of cow dung based biomass cogeneration power plant at the cattle farm in Sargodha owned by Mr. Fawad Mazari
  12. On Panel of Allama Iqbal Open University as Biomass Expert, have been delivering lectures on Environmtental Engineering Design for their Masters Program.
  13. Installed 6,000 domestic size biogas plant under different PSDP and NGO projects (1980 – 2008)
